Abstract

In the first half of the 19th century a lot of translations of French medical works were published in Spain. In our paper we will present a contrastive study of the two Spanish versions of the Traité des bandages (1839) by Pierre Nicolas Gerdy. The first was carried out by Francisco Madero the same year, and the second by Francisco Santana and José Rodrigo six years later, in 1845. The aim of this study is to bring to light the traductological differences between these two texts and to analyze them according to the different readers.
