Social justice, redistributive policies, equal opportunities and class power, are topics of civic interest awakened by the crisis 2008-2012. The article discusses the recent dynamics of stratification, social mobility and reproduction mediated for education in Spanish society. First analyze the significant process of equalization of educational opportunity in the last 20 years in comparative perspective. Secondly, we study the pattern of class reproduction and social mobility mediated by education levels until 2006 in full economic boom. Finally we analyze the constant flux of social rigidity that characterizes the Spanish social structure between the upper class (professional class) and lower (working classes) compounded by the rise of adscriptive class power observed since the 1972-76 cohort.
