Critical thinking about social reality can be represented in cinema, not only through plot, buy also by means of the aesthetic forms making up a film’s dramatic exposition. In this article, we analyze the film La Blessure (2005) by Nicolas Klotz to point to the importance of elements of the mise-en-scène for the articulation of a critique of French immigration policies which focuses on the treatment received in Europe by the population of the old French colonies.
