Abstract

Education, the processes of vulnerability and social exclusion and youth crime are related in complex ways, the educational scenario is part of the history and present of adolescents in conflict with the law, before the beginning of the path crime and for meeting the social and educational measures. We have investigated the relationship between school failure and juvenile  delinquency, since the acceptance of the budget that school failure and social background of the families are linked, and it has shown the last "Foessa Report 2008". It has come from complementary techniques, conducting quantitative and qualitative research, the first has been possible to investigate the educational situation of 286 adolescents in conflict with the law of the city of Valencia and the second in-depth interviews, has been investigated educational scenario in the facilities for serving legal action. The results obtained attest to the close and complex relationship between educational failure, vulnerability and criminal history.
