When the word appears as despoliation, the verse becomes fragmented and silence its capsule, a capsule that isolates, to the time that allows to circulate in a superior unit. Westphalen’s silence it is not only one essential part of the substance that constructs the poem, but one of the main axes of metapoetics reflection, and it is not necessary to forget that for the Peruvian author all poetry is metapoetry.
