We present the main events that have taken place this year. We highlight the organization at the University of Valencia of the II Congress of the Art Education Area entitled "Poetics" www.uv.es/creari/poeticas that brought together more than a hundred specialist teachers, both from universities and secondary school. The three areas (or “Poetics”) that were put into play during the congress sessions were “Curriculum”, “Publications” and “Actions”. From it, the initiative for the creation of the Society for Art Education (SAE) is consolidated, a professional organization that has among its objectives the attention to the specific needs of art education in formal and non-formal contexts and to raise initiatives to through the arts and education.
Among the events this year, the celebration of the I International Conference on Education in Design and Sustainability SDG is also highlighted, an initiative of the CREARI group of Research in Cultural Pedagogies of the University of Valencia (GIUV2013-103) in which the novelties and the new educational and creative uses of the social, cultural and formative drifts that concur in the fields of design and its pedagogy.
We end with the presentation of the articles, interviews and reviews that are collected in the current issue of the EARI journal, in its number 13, in a year in which the FECYT Quality Seal has been renewed in recognition of editorial and scientific quality.
